The North American Grande Orgue is patterned after a 1950s-era Casavant Frères (Quebec) design, combining traditional aesthetics with proven ergonomics.

The Inspiration
"Phoenix President Donald Anderson played numerous Casavant organs during his career as a church organist. Finding these layouts exceptionally comfortable, he emulated their basic dimensions and design to ensure an intuitive playing experience."
French Terraced
Pioneered by Aristide Cavaillé-Coll, the French-terraced design is an elegant alternative to the standard American drawknob console. Its iconic stepped stop jambs offer both a traditional aesthetic and a practical advantage: a lower profile that allows the organist to easily see over the instrument.
Whether straight or curved, the terraces are designed to bring every control within natural reach, reflecting two centuries of French organ-building excellence.
English Tradition
Phoenix Organs was born in the United Kingdom, and our basic sound is rooted in the English pipe organ tradition. Our English-style consoles are inspired by the legendary instruments of King’s College, Cambridge.
Built with traditional English woodwork and layouts, these consoles provide the perfect interface for the rich, foundational choruses and brilliant reeds that define our tonal signature.
